About Us
Rooted in Service, Driven by Purpose
For over a decade, Swami Vivekanand Mission Jan Seva Trust has worked tirelessly in the villages of Sonbhadra — carrying forward the timeless vision that service to humanity is service to God.
Our Story
Born from a Call to Serve
Swami Vivekanand Mission Jan Seva Trust was established in Kone, Sonbhadra with a singular conviction — that the most profound act of devotion is selfless service to the poor and marginalised. Inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekanand, our founders came together to translate philosophy into action.
Sonbhadra, one of the most resource-rich yet underserved districts of Uttar Pradesh, presented both a challenge and an opportunity. The Trust set out to bridge the gap between need and access — in education, healthcare, livelihoods, and dignity.
Over the years, what began as a small community initiative has grown into a structured organisation running multiple programmes across dozens of villages, touching thousands of lives every year.
Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.
Every programme we run, every village we enter, every life we touch is guided by this call. Swami Vivekanand's vision of a strong, educated, and compassionate India is the north star of our work.
What We Stand For
Our Core Values
Seva (Service)
We believe service is not charity — it is a sacred duty. Every act of giving is an act of worship.
Dignity
We work with communities, not for them. Every person we serve is treated with full respect and dignity.
Transparency
We maintain complete accountability in our operations, finances, and impact reporting.
Inclusion
Our work reaches the most marginalised — women, children, tribals, and the differently abled — without discrimination.
Community First
Sustainable change comes from within communities. We build local capacity and ownership in everything we do.
Integrity
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethical conduct in all our dealings and partnerships.
